The Fair and Families on route to the island for the summer season, the fair is being transported on the “tow boats” pulled by the tug “Jumsey” the tow boats were sometimes called Jumseys. The very relaxed look of the people shows it was a treat to travel this way, on a nice day !. The picture also gives a good indication of the size of the tow boats where we can see two caravans side by side.
