After an hours intense crabbing, Sue and David Langford had the difficult job of judging the largest crab, the smallest, the highest numbers of crabs and shrimps caught, the best dressed lady and gentleman crabbers. Ruth from The Blue Crab Restaurant in the High Street, handed over the prizes she and Cliff had donated.
Some results: The biggest crab – 71mm – was caught by Jack Lees.
Monty Hill, aged four tied with Emily Kingston for most crabs caught by 4 years and under.
The judge, David Langford had to check meticlously…..
…..Bethany had definitely caught most for her age group and received her prize from Ruth ( and son) of The Blue Crab.
Although Stuart Aitken hadn’t caught the biggest crab, he was judged the Best Dressed.
These young ladies were certainly amongst the Best Dressed.
And how many crabs did Lifeboat Coxswain Howard Lester catch?
Thanks to RNLI for safety support.
