From 4.00 to 5.00 there was much activity along the harbour wall – the hunt was on for crabs and shrimps! As popular as ever, with prizes galore donated by Ruth and Clifford McDonald of The Blue Crab, crabbing called for special bait, fishing lines with weights but NO HOOKS or LANDING NETS.
The search was on for the largest, the smallest, the greatest number of crabs and shrimps.
David and Sue Langford had the difficult task of judging, with results keenly contested. ‘Who’ll start off with two, ….five?’
