Carnival 2013 Day 1, on the Green

Saturday August 10th 2013

The arrival of the Mallyshag on the Green, next to the Sailing Club, marked the start of the Carnival. Escorted by children, he made his way to the waiting President, Brenda Garlick, and handed over the flag to be flown throughout the week.

Whilst the Fun Runners disappeared on the 4 mile course, Field Sports got underway, with plenty of entries for boys and girls races, which were fiercely contested. Carnival Committee members were kept busy at the tape, picking out the winners.
