Robert May was carpenter, undertaker and church verger and had a workshop on Long’s Wharf then Ommanney Road where he lived. Charlie Lansdowne was signalman on the lifeboat BASP and married Rose May. Their daughter Eileen worked in Mills as did Ralph Smith before WWII
