Arnolds Fair arriving on the ferry, Arnolds have now gone to modern tow vehicles, the ferry is the Farringford which was built in 1948 so the picture is about 1950. Note the
bridge boards under the tow tractor wheels, these were used to compensate for the tide level on the slipway, prior to the introduction of the linkspan.
